Paneer laal pasanda is a delicious North Indian dish that is perfect for those who love a little bit of spice in their meals. This dish is made with paneer (Indian cottage cheese) that is cooked in a creamy tomato-based gravy with a blend of spices. Here is a recipe for paneer laal pasanda :


Ingredients:


250 grams paneer, cut into cubes

1 cup tomato puree

1 onion, chopped

2-3 cloves of garlic, minced

1 inch piece of ginger, grated

1 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp red chilli powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

1/4 cup cream

2 tbsp oil

Salt to taste

Fresh coriander leaves, chopped for garnish

Instructions:


Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they start spluttering, add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.


Add minced garlic and grated ginger and sauté for a minute.


Add tomato puree, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and salt. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes until the tomato puree is cooked and the gravy starts to thicken.


Add paneer cubes to the gravy and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.


Add cream and mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.


Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, naan or rice.
